As part of its development, Framatome is offering a six-month scientific computing Python engineer internship in Lyon.

Mission Description

During this internship, you will be responsible for recoding a scientific computing tool used to determine the flow rate of water from the primary circuit circulating in the guide tubes that make up the fuel assemblies. This tool is currently coded in FORTRAN 77, and the mission is to recode it in Python.

Your main tasks will be as follows:

  • Familiarize yourself with the tool and its physical models
  • Choose the Python architecture
  • Rewrite the code in Python
  • Perform non-regression tests
  • Verify and validate
  • Optimize and complete documentation

Desired Profile

To apply for this internship, you must be:

  • In the final year of an engineering school or equivalent university program in the field of scientific computing.
  • You must also have strong programming skills in Python.
